Rule-Based Printing Overview
SafeCom
Rule-Based Printing allows you to implement printing policies to
ensure the most effective and cost-efficient use of your printing
fleet.
SafeCom Rule-Based Printing enables
administrators to define both Push-Print as well as Pull-Print centric
rules to enforce print policies across SafeCom printers.
Popular rule implementations are:
- Prevent groups of users from printing in colour
- Enforce Economy-mode printing to specific applications (e.g.:
Email)
- Prevent black and white printing on colour devices
- Warn users of higher costs involved with colour printing
