Rule Conditions

• SafeCom can check for the following :

• Device colour support
• Does the job name contain certain text
• Does the print job contain colour
• User print quota
• Job size – pages
• Job size – kilobytes

Rule Actions

SafeCom supports the following actions:

• Completely delete print job
• Hide the pull print job on the given device
• Force printing to black and white
• Force toner-save mode
• Prevent users from printing and copying altogether
• Use popup to confirm Job. Message: ‘text’
• Redirect to queue ‘name’
• redirect to 'userlogon'
• Request user confirmation with a popup.

Notification Methods

The outcome of a rule is can be communicated to a user using any of the following mechanisms:

• Present a pop-up on the users workstation
• Send user an email
• Add an entry to a log file
