Pull Printing Summary

SafeCom Pull Printing turns shared work-group and departmental print and Multi-Function devices into personal devices – Pull Printing turns public printing into confidential printing. It can dramatically reduce consumables and paper waste.

How it works

Pull-Printing is a print methodology where the print documents follow the user to their choice of printer. Users can authenticate at the printer using numeric codes, Windows credentials as well as using magnetic or proximity cards.

Print documents are submitted to a centrally shared print queue and then forwarded to the SafeCom application for secure storage. When the user is ready to collect their print documents they walk up to any SafeCom equipped device and authenticate.

Pull Print Clients / Release Stations

SafeCom provide a range of pull print clients; from fully embedded software solutions to external controller & front-end combinations.

1. SafeCom Go

SafeCom Go is a software that application that is stored on the device's hard drive or other fixed storage medium and interacts with users through the control panel and the device's buttons.

2. SafeCom Controller & Front-End

The SafeCom Controller and Front-End provides a pull print solution for any printer make or model.

An additional SafeCom MFP cable cable, available for a wide range of copier make and models. The combined solution combines both pull printing as well as copy control, copy tracking and pay for copy. Tracking values depend on the make and model. Full details here!
