Overview

The SafeCom External Controller and Front-End solution provides pull printing on any networked printer, whatever make and model.

This solution might also be preferable to an embedded solution on a printer, which although it supports the embedded software only provides a small 4-line display and no full keyboard.

In conjunction with a SafeCom-supported copier make and model and a suitable SafeCom MFP cable this solution can also be used to control and charge for copying.

SafeCom Colour Front-End

The Front-End's touch-sensitive colour screen provides the user with full interactivity with the SafeCom system. The Front-End is available with a variety of embedded card readers:

SafeCom Controller

The SafeCom controller is a small device that hosts the pull-print and copy control functionality. It is available with 1-port, 2-port or 3-port network hub functionality and supports both Serial and USB identification devices and front-ends.

Note: Unless mentioned explicitly the MFPs can only report the number of copied pages and they do not provide information about paper size or use of color and duplex.
A	Supports paper size and duplex information.
